Effective January 1, 2003 at Hillsdale Lake, Crappie less than 10" in length must be returned to the water.

Crappie good in 15 to 20 feet of water using minnows and jigs

Largemouth Bass fair using soft plastics in the flooded timber 

Smallmouth Bass No Report

Channel Catfish fair using cut baits on the bottom

Walleye good using jig-and-worms on the lake flats and lake points

New lake record Blue Catfish of 41 lbs.

Largemouth Bass fair using jigs and spinnerbaits by the rocky points

Smallmouth Bass good using crankbaits and jigs by the rock points

Catfish fair on trotlines

Blue Cats good in 25 to 35 feet of water along the channel 

Crappie poor in 20 to 25 feet of water using jigs in the brush using jigs

Walleye fair in 20 to 30 feet of water using jigs/crawlers on the mud flats

White Bass good in 15 to 25 feet of water using spoons and jigs off the windy points

Wipers good using spoons and drifting with live bait by the South hump

Dam construction has been completed.
Boat Ramp , courtesy dock and parking facility and new restroom has been completed
Over 250 brush piles were constructed
Approx. 500 Largemouth Bass 6-20" have been stocked. (They are expecting more to be stocked)

The boat ramp is open and the Lake is open to all boats

Bluegill good using nightcrawlers and small jigs

Largemouth Bass fair using soft plastics early morning and late evening

Catfish good using liver, worms and cut bait
