Channel Catfish: Fair. Some nice catches being reported. Most are taken in the evenings or early mornings on night crawlers, Bee Jay or shad. Flathead Catfish: Good. Three fifty pounders reported in recent weeks. Most are taken on goldfish, but green sunfish or bluegill also work well. Largemouth Bass: Fair. Most bass caught are under the 18 inch length limit and must be returned unharmed. Live minnows, goldfish, plastic worms, spinner baits and other lures work well. Crappie: Fair. Most of the crappie along shore are small (7 inches or less). They are most catch able in the early morning or early evening. Larger crappie (up to two and half pounds) can often be using a boat in deeper water. Live minnows and jigs are recommended for these fish. Green Sunfish: Good. Most are small (less than ¼ pound) but they are abundant and easy to catch. A small piece of night crawler or a small jig works well. Bluegill Sunfish: Good. Same comments as for green sunfish. Common Carp: Good. Best baits are fermented corn or dough balls. White Amur: Fair. Same comment as for common carp.
