Above Sailboat Bridge: Muddy
Sailboat Bridge to Horse Creek: Dirty
Horsecreek to the Dam: Dirty
Water Temp: 46 to 54 degrees
Bass: The bass are definitely picking up with the water warming and
becoming somewhat stable. The Hart Spinnerbaits have been the #1 blade right now. The
tandem willows in gold or painted blades with white or chartreuse skirts. The Eakins
Flippin jig and Lake Fork tube craws are the drop baits that are catching a lot of fish.
Bomber 7A and Bandit 200 series crankbaits in chartreuse or craw patterns are also
catching fish.
Crappie: The crappie are slow right now. The crappie that are being caught right now are liking the rosey red minnows and the darker colored Grandpa's Jigs.
White bass: The white bass are fine up Spring River. Jigs and grubs
are still your best choice.
Catfish: The catfish are biting real well due to the high water. Several
good catches in the feeder creeks on night crawlers and cut shad. Danny Kings punch bait
in the flooded trees and creeks have produced some pretty big fish over the past few days.
