Bass: Welcome back Grand Lake! The ole bucket mouths are on fire. The
Hart shocker tube in Black Neon or Green Pumpkin, along with the Eakins flippin jig in
black/blue have been bustin the bass this week. We're talking numerous limits from 13lbs
to 17lbs., and some as large as 20lbs plus. The Bomber 7A and Bandit 300 series crankbaits
are catching a lot of fish in the coves. Spinner baits have continued to do the job as
well, and Hart continues to lead the way there.
Crappie: The crappie are starting to bite shallow this week. The ole jig and cork a foot or two deep has been bagging a lot of crappie this week. Grandpa's jigs in chartreuse, purple, and browns are your best choice. Minnows are working on the cork as well. Most of the best catches are coming halfway to the back of most coves.
White bass: The white bass are slow again, due to another water rise
on the Spring River.
Catfish: The catfish are biting real well due to the high water. Several
good catches in the feeder creeks on night crawlers and cut shad. Danny Kings punch bait
in the flooded trees and creeks have produced some pretty big fish over the past few days.
