Water Temp: 58-63 degrees
Bass- Bass are still going strong here on Grand, and it only seems to be getting better! With the water falling for most of the week, the crankbait and dropbait bites have been the best producers. The Bomber 7A and the Bandit 300 series crankbaits in greens and browns have been top producers on the points. The Eakins jig in brown/chart and the Hart Tackle Shocker Tube in green pumpkin or black neon are the top choices by most anglers this week. The spinnerbait bite is still working as well. The Terminator and Hart spinnerbaits have been the top choices for several weeks now.
Crappie- The crappie are on fire! The crappie are on the banks and doing their thing. We have seen numerous slabs over 1 1/2 lbs. and several over 2 lbs.! Lots of baits are working right now, but Grandpa's jigs seem to be the most popular. Reds, Chartreuse, and whites are the best colors this week. The good ole minnows are doing their share of the catching as well, the Rosey Reds are the most popular this week. The best reports are coming out of the Drowning Creek, Horse Creek, and Duck Creek areas.
White Bass- The white bass are biting up the Spring River again. Snake and Blackberry Islands are starting to produce some scattered catches of white bass as well. Jigging curly grubs on 1/4 oz jig heads in 5 to 10 feet on the main lake points has been working best.
Catfish- The catfish are biting well as of late. The Jugglers are making some real nice catches this week. The shad are getting easier to get as they are piled in the backs of most major coves. The best catches are coming out of the 10 to 18 ft range.
