Bass- Man is Grand Lake back! This week we continue to see twenty pound stringers win tournaments. The 10" Berkley Power worm is our top bait, blue fleck and junebug are the two most popular colors. The Bomber 7A is still the number one crankbait. Bass are hitting the topwater baits this week, and the Hart Ticker Buzz in black is out performing the rest.
Crappie- Crappie are biting well on the boat docks and bridge piers. Grandpa's jigs in chartreuse's, whites, or pinks seem to be the favorite of the crappie. The Rosey red minnows are the hot ticket in the minnow department this week, and everything is being combined with the Berkley Crappie Nibbles.
Catfish- Catfish continue to be caught in the rocks and along the bluffs. Nightcrawlers and shrimp are the best baits right now. The noodlers are pulling a lot of big flatheads out of the holes all over Grand this week.
Whitebass- Whitebass are biting real well from Sailboat bridge to Goat
Island. There are a good number of the whitebass being caught on jigging spoons
in about 15 to 20 ft on main lake points. There are more and more whitebass
starting to surface feed in the Duck Creek and Horse Creek areas. Berkley Gulp
swimming minnow is by fare the hottest bait for casting into the fast feeding
whitebass.
