Lake level as of 6/14/04 is 744.8 and slowly rising, there is full generation

Bass-The water is on the rise again, and the bass are loving it! Bass are moving into all of the shallow trash everywhere, and the flippin bite is hot! The 10" Berkley Power worm, Eakins flippin jig, Lake fork creature are top performers. The Bagley crankbaits are heating up as well. The boat dock brush continues to provide quality fish. The topwater bite is getting better every day, and the Hart Ticker buzz in black is out performing the rest.
Crappie-Crappie are biting well on the boat docks and the bridge piers. Minnows seem to be catching the better of the fish this week. Grandpa's jigs in chartreuse, whites, or pinks still seem to be the favorite colors and jig of choice. The Berkley Crappie Nibbles in chartreuse and chartreuse sparkle are still being used with the minnows and jigs both.
Catfish-Catfish continue to be caught in the rocks and along the bluffs. Nightcrawlers and shrimp are the best baits right now. The noodlers are pulling a lot of big flatheads our of the holes all over Grand this week. Juggers are putting a killing on the cats right now, and shad, goldfish, and perch are the baits of choice.
Whitebass-Whitebass are biting real well from Sailboat bridge to Goat Island. There are a good number of whitebass being caufht on jigging spoons in about 15 to 20 ft. on main lake points. There are more and more whitebass starting to surface feed in the Duck Creek and Horse Creek areas. Berkley Gulp swimming minnow is by far the hottest bait for casting into the fast feeding whitebass.
