Report by: Littlefield Sporting Goods

Above Sailboat bridge- stained
Sailboat bridge to Horse Creek- lightly stained
Horse Creek to the dam- lightly stained to clear
Lake level as of 10/4/05 is 741.03 there is no generation and no flood gates are open.

Bass- The cooler water temps have the logs up Elk, Spring, and Neosho rivers producing some serious fish! Bandit and Bomber crankbaits in crawfish or shad patterns are top producers. The Berkley 10" power worm and Eakins jig are producing well on boat docks and in the brush around docks. Carolina riggers are still catching good Numbers and quality on main lake points and secondary.

Crappie-With the cooler weather the crappie have picked up, and some good ones to boot. The docks are your best bet right now. Crappie are biting from 8 ft to 15 ft. and at different times of the day. Chartreuse, grays, and pinks are the best colors.

Catfish- The cats are biting well all around the lake, from shallow to deep. Juggers are catching good numbers on shad all over the lake. They are setting their lines in the water from 8-14 ft. deep.Greensunfish and shad are the baits of choice.

White bass- The white bass in the lake have moved out and are biting the jigging spoons. They are starting to surface feed all over the lake. The evening time is the best time to find them surface feeding. Horse Creek, Patrica Island, and Duck Creek are the hottest places.
