Anchor Bend

This knot isone of the most secure and widely used hitches for securing a boat to a ring or mooring post.
It can also be used for tying an anchor.

Step 1:

Make two turns around
the ring with the tag end
of the rope.

 Step 2:

Bring the tag end around
the standing part and
through the lower part of
the turn.

 Step 3:

Pull on the tag end and the
standing part until the knot
is secure.
