This very pratical knot is idael for temporary mooring. Its big advantage is that you can tie and untie it very quickly.

Step 1:

Double the end section of the rope and
wrap it around a post leaving a loop big
enough to pull back over the top of the
post.

 Step 2:

Pull the loop over the top of the post
and then pull on the standing part to
tighten and secure the knot.
