BACKLASHERS 2001 FUND RAISER FOR THE DREAM FACTORY
On Sunday June 10th, the Backlashers Bass club of Olathe had their 11th annual Bass tournament at the Long Shoal Marina, at Truman Lake in MO., for the benefit of the Dream Factory in Kansas City, Missouri.
The tournament started at 6:00 a.m. with 17 Boats. All through the day the fishermen were out fishing in competition for the money prizes. The weigh in was at 2:00 p.m.. Most Teams had from one to four fish. The Fishing was off this year because of the high waters(11.75 feet high), but that didn't matter much, the spirit was still there. There was a lot of excitement at the time weigh in as the Bass caught was brought in. I'm sure, no matter what, all the Anglers had fun in helping to raise money for such a worthy cause. So all in all, the Anglers, Backlashers and the sponsors had a wonderful day in helping making more dreams come true for some wonderful children; and after all, that is what is all about.
