1. Entry fee $75.00 per boat
2. Age: Must be at least 16 years of age
3. Headquarters: Long Shoal Marina. Take off time 6:00am. Mandatory pre-tournament meeting at 5:30am.
4. Optional Big Bass pot: $10.00 per boat with 50% payback. The remaining 50% of big bass pot is donated to the Dream Factory.
5. Tackle and Equipment: Only artificial bait and lures will be used. Pork-style baits are allowed. No trolling. All fish must be caught on rod & reel.
6. Boat and Motors: Any boat equipped with an aerated live well, working kill switch and meeting the boating regulations for the State of Missouri will be accepted, if powered by an engine of 10 horsepower or more. Boats may not be trailered during tournament hours.
7. Safety and Sportsmanship: Safe boating and fishing practices must be observed at all times. Life jackets must be worn when the gas motor is in operation. No alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs are to be consumed or aboard a contestant’s boat during tournament hours.
8. Permitted fishing locations: Anywhere on the lake, with the exception of within Long Shoal Marina, within 50 yards of another contestant’s boat and inside buoyed areas at flood control tower and swim area.
9. Scoring: A 6-fish limit will be observed. Weighable fish are largemouth, small mouth and spotted bass. Total weight will determine placing. If a tie exists, then Big Bass will determine the final placing. Any fish under legal length limit presented to weigh-in will result in two pounds being deducted from total stringer plus loss of the short fish. Dead fish will result in a ¼ pound being deducted from total stringer. Any fish previously frozen or iced presented for weigh-in will result in disqualification. Contestants must be in sight of their partners at all times unless in the case of emergency.
10. Protests: Must be filed within 15 minutes of final check-in.
11. Late Penalty: 1 pound per minute deducted from total stringer weight, up to 10 minutes. Contestant is disqualified at 10 minutes.
12. All participants must have in their possession a valid 2002 Missouri fishing license.
13. All state and lake laws and rules must be obeyed at all times.
14. Insurance: All boats fishing in the tournament MUST have liability insurance covering their vessel during tournament hours. By signing the Release Waiver on the entry form, you are assuring the Tournament Committee that you are an insured person.
15. ALL FISH WILL BECOME PROPERTY OF THE WEIGH-IN OFFICIAL UPON RECEIPT OF THE WEIGH-IN BAG. FISH WILL BE RELEASED IMMEDIATELY.
16. I further consent and agree to grant Backlashers Bass Club the full use of any name, still pictures, video and voice likenesses, and will not be entitled to receive monies, royalties or other compensation.
