Water Level: 12 inches below full pool.
Water Temperature: 48 degrees F.
Turbidity: Visibility 10 inches.
Fish Attractors: Not operating.
Fishing Pressure: Light but increasing with warmer temperatures.
Channel Catfish: None reported. One fisherman
reported a bite or two on shad sides. Night crawlers at the mouths of creeks ought to
start producing soon as March rains are bringing the worms up in abundance.
Crappie: Slow to fair. Small crappie are reported
in 10-15 feet of water feeding at the three to four foot level. One small crappie was
taken in shallow water at the mouth of a creek this week, but they are not there in
numbers yet. Small live minnows and 1/32 oz. jigs or curl tails have been productive.
Flathead Catfish: None reported.
Try goldfish in deep water off the dam.
Bluegill/Sunfish: None reported.
Not normally caught during winter and early spring.
Green Sunfish: None reported. Same comment as for
bluegill sunfish.
Common Carp: None reported. Not usually caught
during winter and early spring.
White Amur: None reported. Same comment as for
common carp.

Boat Ramp , courtesy dock and parking facility and new restroom has been completed
Over 250 brushpiles were constructed
Approx. 500 Largemouth Bass 6-20" have been stocked. (They are expecting more to be
stocked)
The lake will open January 7, 2004 at 8 a.m., however the boat ramps will remain closed

Catfish:
Kaw river real good with cut shad and green worms and cut carp, river channels and mouths
of small feeder creeks and main channel of river , also at the far end of all wing eddies,
river on the rise , and after it falls a little then settles down its real good fishin
too.
