Report by Sports Cache Bait & Tackle
Water Level: At full pool.
Water Temperature: 58 degrees F.
Turbidity: Visibility 18 inches.
Fish Attractors: Not operating.
Fishing Pressure: Moderate through the week, heavier during weekends.
Channel Catfish: A few are being caught on shad sides and
night-crawlers.
Crappie: Varies from "slow" to "good" depending on
location and time of day. Crappie are in shallow water near shore in the evenings, but
favor deeper water during the day. Early mornings may also be good, but no reports thus
far. Fish are abundant and bite readily in the evening. Most are small white crappie 6-7
inches in length. Live minnows and 1/32 oz. jigs or curl tails have been productive.
Flathead Catfish: None reported. Try goldfish or small green sunfish.
Bluegill Sunfish: Good. Are abundant near shore and eagerly taking
bits of night-crawler or small jigs and artificial baits.
Green Sunfish: Good. Are close to shore and taking the same baits and
lures as bluegill. Most are small, but make good bait for big flathead.
Common Carp: One thirty pounder reported this week was taken on
night-crawler. Fermented whole kernel corn is also an excellent bait for these fish.
White Amur: None reported. Fermented corn is an excellent bait for
these fish. A few are taken on night-crawlers.

Report By: Catdaddy Catfish Adventures
Catfish: Catdaddy
here fishing been real good in the shallows 2 to 5 feet of water, and along the mud banks
real close, using cut shad and sour carp and buffalo, in the ripples using blood bait
Catbuster that is, floating blood in the ripples with a big bobber real productive catch,
bigger blues in deeper water using skip jack herring, AKA. skippies.
Flat heads are not real active yet but real soon
they start to migrate in may I cant wait for that to happen, well there it is straight
from the fishes mouth. ha ha .
Catdaddy says its time to fry some catfish and
hushpuppies with a hot pepper.
Good fishin.
