TANEYCOMO

Updated 1/04/01

Temperature: 35-39 Level:

Report by River Run Outfitters

Due to the cold weather this past couple of weeks, there has been considerable water generation.

Fly fishing in the Trophy area below the dam continues to be good. When there is no water generation, mosquitoes, Adams and Crackle Backs are still good. Tan or gray scuds, peach egg patterns, tan Hare's Ear, Chamois leech and the olive or black wooly buggers continue to be consistent patterns.

Deep water from a boat, you can catch fish on Bassnapper jigs, 80th or 100th ounce on fly rods or ultra light rods. Depending on the day, always have a range of colors from olive, tan, white, black/yellow and gray. Usually the olive will be the best, but if they are not hitting that color, keep trying as one of these colors will work. You can also use the 128th oz. white grub or peach or chartreuse egg pattern.

Bait fishing has been real good on "White" power eggs. They are also catching them on air injected night crawlers, orange and chartreuse power eggs (both colors on the hook). When the water is running any of the above fished on a standard "drifting rig" from a boat will work.
