Water temp. is unofficially at 62 degrees and that makes fishing better. Lake is down about 2 1/2 feet. Walleye are starting to get active now and several have been caught on the flats with worms and minnows. Some in as deep as 20 foot of water. Smallmouth are active on the rocky points. Crank baits, spinner baits and well as live minnows working well. Stripers are showing up on points as well as shallow water. Live bait working well for these linesides. White bass should be headed toward the river with the water warming up. White perch are hitting worms and have been found about everywhere, as well as the catfish. Catfish are hitting, shrimp, shad gizzards and sides, as well as worms. Till next week, keep a tight line. |
