Report by Bud's Bait & Tackle

Fishing is slowing down for the walleye but they are still catching them. Nightcrawlers still working real well, however a few are using minnows or trolling with lures.

Stripers are moving toward the lower end of the lake. Several schools are being seen surfacing. Last Saturday a 9 year old boy caught a 19 pounder on live shad. Several ten thru four pound fish were also caught at the tournament.

White perch are still chasing the nightcrawlers. But you have to be quick to catch them.

Catfish are very active. Chicken livers, bait shrimp, as well as worms are working nicely. Shad sides and gizzards are also good.

Small mouth are hitting minnows as well as jigs at the rocky bluff areas.

Drum are also attacking the worms. So you should have a great day fishing here on Wilson Lake. See you there.
