The last 2 weeks the wind has been blowing between 15 and 30 mph., making the fishing hard work. Bluegill: Fair- Off the dam or off docks in 3 to 6 ft of water,
using worms or doll flies. The daily Creel Limit for Wipers is 2. GLEN

However the ones that are out are catching a few. Catfish still good to excellent. Normal catfish bait doing well. Several are using bait shrimp as well as nightcrawlers. Smallmouth along rocky areas are hitting on minnows and artificial lures. White bass are chasing the shad. Little jigs, slab spoons and minnows will get these guys in your boat. Stripers are also chasing the shad. Using the same baits as for white bass will keep your line zinging. They are also down rigging or using live bait anchored up for the linesides. Watch for diving gulls will give you a good idea where to look for these top feeding schools. Until next time keep a tight line. Bud and Gladys |
