Updated 04/30/04 Lake Elevation at Normal Pool: 1421.60 Temperature: 63 Inflow: 50 cfs Outflow: 244 cfs Level: 0.15 feet high Report by: Minimum Length on Walleye is 21" and a 2-day creel limit. Minimum length on Wiper and Stripers is 21" and a 2-day aggregate creel limit Minimum length on Crappie is 10" CRAPPIE: poor WHITE BASS No Report CHANNEL CAT poor in the river. lake off the points and trot lines using cut bait and stink sides. .WHITE PERCH: --- very good --- they are being catch almost everywhere next to the shore using a small amount of worm on a very small hook. Also have been getting quite a few large enough to eat. WALLEYE: good --- in the river and west shore of the lake using road runners and lures. Most of the ones being catch are keepers. The Weather has been pretty good but today is some cooler but they are Still catching some fish. We will try to let you in on all the news we Have been told about them and what they have been hitting on. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Crappie--the crappie have been very active from all we have been told In all the water around here. At the city lake they are some slower at Hitting but they are very nice fish. Many have been in the 12 to 16 Inch size.they have been caught down from 12 inches to 4 foot. At the Res they have been anywhere from 6 inches to 3 foot down mainly in the Coves and around the brush piles. Some have been hitting on jigs of Many colors such as blue and orange and some chart. But as always the Most and the biggest have been caught using a minnow and hook -------------------------------------------------------------------- Walleye--the walleye fishing has been very good for most. It seems They are good in most waters around here. In fact we have weighed in Some caught by 9 and 10 year olds while fishing at the river walk here In town. They have been hitting a lot on just a crawler but jigs have Brought in some nice ones also. We have seen many in the 6 to 8 pound Range in the last week. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Bass----the white bass have been going real good in the last week or So. Also the large mouth and the small mouth have been very active for Those fishing for them. Minnows and crawlers have been working real Well for these fish. Also the farm ponds have been good for the bass. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Catfish--the channels have been moving around allot as they have been all year. We have seen many in the 10 to 15 pound range and of course Smaller ones. They are hitting on crawlers, minnows, livers,shad sides And guts, and leeches. As of yet we haven't had many reports of flatheads moving much lately But they are due at any time. And we all know there are some very big Ones in both lakes and the creeks. Crappie: No Report White Bass: fair along the breaks using spoons and crankbaits Walleye: fair on the flats using worms and jigs combo Channel Catfish: fair using shad sides on the windy points Updated 04/30/04 Lake Elevation at Normal Pool: 1350.50 Temperature: 50Inflow: 5 cfs Outflow: 2 cfs Level: 0.13 feet low Report by CANADA BAIT 'N' TACKLE Braggin' Board Walleye moving onto flats lot of short ones being caught but few are of the 18 inch length limits. Whites and wipers are good lake wide best at the dam. Crappie starting to spawn. Catfish are being caught but very few fishing for them right now because of the action of the other species.
