Report by Bud's Bait & Tackle
Well fishing picking up a lot more.
White bass are landing on the anglers stringers. Some nice large
ones have been reported. Jigs, slab spoons, as well as minnows are producing
here. Watching for gulls is a good indicator where these guys are surfacing
and feeding on shad. Look at the mouth of coves for this action.
Stripers 3# to 12# have been reported this past week. The wind
must have stirred everything up. Live bait producing but they are still
surfacing early morning and evening for top water action.
Smallmouth on rocky points. Lures, crank baits as well as minnows
are working well.
Walleye were caught in shallow water this past weekend as shallow
as 4 foot. So they can be anywhere. These were very nice walleye. But
several nice keepers
Catfish are still going good. These are lakewide. Bank and boat
anglers are catching them. Nightcrawlers, bait shrimp, as well as
traditional catfish bait is producing nice stringers.
