Report by: Clint's Bait and Tackle
Hello to all and we hope you are staying dry. But we need the rain
to fill all the ponds and rivers good. We are here to let you know all we have found out
about the fish and what they are doing. So here we go.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Crappie--right now they are still fairly deep but just about everyone
that goes out to catch a mess have done so. They are hitting on good Ole minnows and on a
few jigs. They seem to be easy to find from all we have been told.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Walleye--there have been a good deal of walleye caught in the last few
days. They have been picked up along the face of the dams but they are down a ways. Also
the res is running some water and they are getting them below the dam in the river.
Minnows, worms, and some jigs are working to get the walleye.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Bass----haven't many reports on Mr. Bass but some have been picking a few
up out of farm ponds so we know they moving around and are hit- ting at times. Minnows and
worms are the best from what we are told.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Catfish--the channel cats have been doing real good in some coves at the
lakes. But they have been doing super good at times on the river and munkers. They are
running now and that always makes cat fishing good. They are hitting on worms and shad
guts.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
We are open 7 days a week as usual so you can get bait or tackle just about anytime you
want. And as usual we have the permits and license. For the city lake if you want to go
there.
If we are not in the shop just walk across the street and get us, we will be glad to get
you your needs.
