Report by: Clint's Bait and Tackle
Good day to ya. hope all is well for most of ya out there.
Well it looks like the nice weather is here for all us to enjoy. it's time to
let you all in on what the fish are doing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Crappie--we have had several reports that they are hitting pretty good
now. had a couple people say they was around 8 to 10 foot deep.
as usual minnow have been the best bait for them. I'm sure jigs would work but minnows are
the best.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Walleye--they have been letting a lot of water out at the res and the
walleye are doing real good. Also they are doing well at the city lake
from all we have been told. We have weighed in several fish around the 6 pound and better
range. minnows, crawlers, and dark jigs are the
best to use.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
bass----some are saying that the bass are starting to do pretty good in
just about all waters. Some are using minnows or crawlers and a few
jigs and lures.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Catfish--the channels are doing real good from all reports. They are
hitting on just about all the usual bait but I have sold a lot of shad
sides and guts. Haven't heard much on the flatheads but it may early for them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
We are open 7 days a week for all your fishing needs. so stop in and get the
latest report. we will be glad to fill you in.
