Report by: Hunter's Bait Shop Recent rains brought cooler weather and cooled lake down some Which is currently above normal pool level The tube which connects the east and west side of lake is a great place to catch big catfish going up stream Channel cat: good perch , worms , sonnys , and large minnows good Crappie : few caught around the rock jetties on minnows and jigs Largemouth Bass: no report White Bass : no report Walleye :no report Updated 08/26/05 Water level : Normal Report by: Hunter's Bait Shop Lake level high Crappie: no report Largemouth Bass : no report Catfish :good turkey liver , and sonnys dip bait In the little Arkansas which runs thru park is running high now and should provide some good flat head catfish fishing on limb lines and rod & reel.
