It's been a couple of weeks since I gave a report but there just hasn't been much going on because of the heat and everything had gone to spawn. Now the spawn is over and the fishing is picking up again so I will let you know what we have been told. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Crappie--there have been some caught in the last couple weeks. They are a little deep as expected but they are hitting on minnows and an few jigs. They have been between 10 to 16 inches. This is from the City lake and the res. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Walleye--there have many caught while drifting and trolling in both the city lake and the res. Crawlers and minnows have worked real well getting them to bite plus some have used small perch. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Bass----the bass have been doing real well according to what some have said. At the city lake and the res they are hitting minnows, crawlers, and some lures. From what we have been told this does not take place everyday. But on some days they are so easy to get.--------------------------------------------------------------------- Catfish--the channels have been doing real good. They seem to be feeding on minnows, crawlers, livers, shad sides and guts. Some of the big ones have been hitting on goldfish and crawdads. We have seen all sizes of channels. The flatheads are feeding again and seem to like perch, goldfish, crawdads, and crawlers. This week the biggest fish we have seen is a 48 pound yellow cat. He was caught at the city lake on a perch. --------------------------------------------------------------------- We are open 7 days a week and carry a complete line of bait and tackle for all of your fishing needs. We also can give you the latest on what the fish are doing. As most of you know, if we aren't in the shop when you need us for something all you have to do is walk across the street and get us.
